The official commemorative song "Pak-Cheen Dosti Zindabad" marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan was formally released on May 26, 2026, at the China - Pakistan 75th Anniversary Joint Reception in Beijing.
The grand reception was attended by China’s Vice President H.E. Han Zheng, Pakistan’s Prime Minister H.E. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, along with senior dignitaries, officials, artists, and friends of China - Pakistan friendship from both countries.
Jointly produced by the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing and the China International Cultural Communication Center, the song celebrates the enduring “ironclad friendship” between the two nations. Infused with youthful energy and a contemporary melody, it beautifully reflects the deep cultural affinity, mutual affection, and strong people-to-people bonds that have sustained this relationship for 75 years.
The lyrics were co-written by Youkai Zou (former Director of the Art Center of China Central Television) and Pakistani artist Hassan Ali Effendi. The music was jointly composed by Natasha Baig, Lay Zhang, Muchen Yan, and Muzammil Muzi, with the duet performed by Natasha Baig and Lay Zhang.
Rooted in the rock-solid China - Pakistan friendship, the song draws inspiration from the ancient Silk Road and the artistic legacy of Gandhara civilization. Blending the beauty of Chinese and Urdu languages with ethnic and modern musical elements, it stands as a heartfelt tribute to a friendship that transcends mountains and rivers and continues to flourish from generation to generation.
